درس هذا البحث مجمل الأوضاع الأداريَّة والاقتصاديَّة للمدحتيَّة في العهد العثمانيّ الأخير؛ لما تميَّزت به من ثقل عشائريّ واجتماعيّ وسياسيّ منذ تأسيسها في عهد الوالي العثمانيّ مدحت باشا، فضلًا عن كونها ذات إرث حضاريّ؛ لاحتوائها على المواقع الدينيَّة، ومن أبرزها مرقد الإمام الحمزة، والعديد من المواقع الأثريَّة الأخرى.
قُسِّم البحث على مقدِّمة وخاتمة وثلاثة مباحث، درس الأوَّل الأوضاع السياسيَّة في المدحتيَّة، في حين تناول المبحث الثاني مدينة المدحتيَّة من حيث الموقع والتسمية ومعالمها الدينيَّة والحضارية، والوضع الإداريّ، واختصَّ المبحث الثالث بالأوضاع الاقتصاديَّة في ناحية المدحتيَّة 1869-1914.

This research studied the overall administrative and economic conditions of Madhatiyeh in the last Ottoman era because it was characterized by its clan, social and political status since its establishment during the reign of the Ottoman governor Midhat Pasha, as well as the fact that it possesses a cultural heritage because it contains religious sites, most notably the shrine of Imam Hamza (peace be upon him), and many Other archaeological sites.
The research was divided into an introduction, a conclusion, and three sections. The first topic studied the political conditions in the city, while the second topic dealt with the city of Madhatiyeh in terms of its location, name, religious and cultural landmarks, and the administrative status of the city. The third topic was concerned with the economic conditions in the
Al- Madhatiyeh sub-district for the period 1869-1914.
