شهدت مدينة الحِلَّة خلال عهد دولة الخروف الأسود (814-874هـ) جملة من الصِّـراعات السياسيَّة والنزاعات العسكريَّة التي كانت المدينة مِن أهمِّ ساحاتها، وانعكست هذه الأحداث وآثارها على المدينة وسكَّانها بشكلٍ كبيرٍ، وعانت فيها من ويلات الحروب، وما نتج عنها من آثار انعكست سلبًا على أحوال المدينة الاقتصاديَّة والاجتماعيَّة، ومن ثمَّ، درس هذا البحث طبيعة هذه الصِّـراعات والنزاعات، وما تركته من آثار ونتائج على المدينة وسكانها لمدَّة تزيد على النصف قرن.

During the reign of the Black Sheep State (814-874 AH), the city of Hillah witnessed a series of political conflicts and military disputes in which the city was one of the most important arenas. These events and their effects were greatly reflected on the city and its inhabitants. During these events, the city suffered from the ravages of war and the resulting effects that negatively affected the city’s economic and social conditions. Therefore, this research studied the nature of these conflicts and disputes and the effects and results they left on the city and its inhabitants for a period of more than half a century.
